Hidden In Plain Sight
Hidden In Plain Sight in an interactive presentation that provides parents and caregivers an opportunity to explore a mock set-up of a child’s bedroom and look for signs of drug use. The Hancock Leadership Class of 2018 is the driving force behind Hidden In Plain Sight and the Hancock County Sheriff's Office manages the program.
Hidden in Plain Sight aims to achieve the following goals:
- Educate: Children are 50% less likely to use drugs when a parent or trusted adult talks with them about drug use
- Engage: Walk through the Hidden in Plain Sight interactive display and identify signs of drug use
- Empower: Parents and caregivers will increase their ability to prevent future drug use
